//The First Slovak in History at the Legendary NorthWest 200

New Ambassador of the DYNAMAX Brand

Emil Krchňavý, a 37-year-old native of Košice and new ambassador of DYNAMAX, will make history from May 5 to 10, 2025 as the first Slovak to compete at the prestigious NorthWest 200 road circuit in Northern Ireland. On the nearly 15 km course linking Portrush, Portstewart and Coleraine he will face “flat out” sections at over 320 km/h, technical town passages, roundabouts and challenging retarders—all bordered by houses, trees and stone walls.

Double Challenge on the Kawasaki ZX10-RR

On the same Kawasaki ZX10-RR machine he will contest two classes: Superstock 1000 and Superbike. In each category he has two qualifying sessions (totaling 2 hours) and two races.

Road to the Top

Since his roadracing debut at Dymokury (CZ) in 2017, Emil has focused on this discipline. In 2020 he took silver in the Slovak national championship, and in 2021 he won the Slovakia Cup CPM. He entered the IRRC series on a wildcard in 2021, and from 2022 has been a regular in the Superbike class. His best IRRC results include 9th place at Hořice 2023 and two 10th-place finishes in 2024 (Hořice, Frohburg).

In 2023 he also triumphed in Classic Superbike (up to 750 cc, machines built until 2001) at Dolný Hričov on a 1998 Aprilia RSV Mille. Although he secured pole position at Dymokury on that same bike, a technical failure and crash in the first lap forced retirement.

The Top League of Road Circuits

At NorthWest 200 he’ll field the new Kawasaki ZX10-RR in Superstock 1000 trim, whose preseason tests at the Pannoniaring in Hungary exceeded expectations. Emil is ready to measure himself against the world’s elite—names such as Glenn Irwin, Michael Dunlop, Davey Todd and living legends Michael Rutter and John McGuinness.

Wish him luck as the Slovak flag flies at NorthWest 200 for the very first time!
