SC Žarnovica crowned Extraliga Champions 2025!

Once again, Žarnovica became the home of champions! The home team SC Žarnovica delivered a stunning performance in the final round of the Czech Extraliga and, after an intense deciding heat, claimed the championship title. An unforgettable Sunday in Žarnovica

On October 12, thousands of fans filled the stands to witness a breathtaking finale that had everything — drama, emotion, and world-class racing.
With live TV coverage and perfect autumn weather, the atmosphere was electric. Every point counted as Žarnovica closed the gap on Prague and Pardubice — until it all came down to a final tie-break heat for the title.

Vaculík, Sajfutdinov and Laguta led the charge

From the very first laps, the home riders showed incredible speed and determination. Martin Vaculík, Emil Sajfutdinov, and Artem Laguta dominated their heats, keeping Žarnovica in the lead despite fierce competition. Every pass, every corner, and every risk mattered. Even tactical “joker” rides by Prague and Pardubice couldn’t stop the Slovak powerhouse from staying on top.

Laguta’s heroic move sealed the title

The deciding race saw Artem Laguta line up against Andžejs Lebedevs from Pardubice. Lebedevs took the early lead, but in lap three Laguta made a spectacular overtake, greeted by thunderous cheers from the home crowd. Žarnovica took the victory — and with it, the Extraliga championship title! Euphoria swept through the stadium. Riders, fans, and organizers celebrated a hard-earned triumph that will be remembered for years.
